Biography
Before Donovan became an erotic actress, she was a model appearing in Swatch television commercials. She performed in over 100 films before bowing out in 1988. Although known primarily for sex with male co-stars, she worked with female co-stars as well. She was the subject of an unflattering (to the industry) 1986 KNBC-TV news report titled Confessions of a Porn Star, appearing behind a screen, though at one point in the interview she leaned forward and was clearly visible.
Meese Commission
Donovan was an informant for the Meese Commission, enraging many within the adult business. Because of the KNBC report and the Meese Commission, Donovan was permanently blacklisted by the porn industry.[citation needed]
"I don't enjoy (working in pornography)," Donovan told the Baltimore Sun in October 1985 in an article that was also reprinted in the San Diego Union-Tribune. She noted that she earned about $1,000 a day. "But I don't like to take my clothes off in front of everyone."[2]
