Stafford Earl Mays (born March 13, 1958 in Lawrence, Kansas) is a retired American football defensive lineman.

High school career
Mays went to Lincoln High School in Tacoma, Washington.
College career
Mays played junior college football at Mount Hood Community College. He later played college football at the University of Washington.
Professional career
Mays played in the National Football League as a defensive end and defensive tackle for the St. Louis Cardinals and the Minnesota Vikings between 1980 and 1988.
Personal
Mays's son, Taylor Mays, is a defensive back for the University of Southern California, and was a stand out player at Seattle's O'Dea High School. Stafford Mays now works at Microsoft.[1] Mays also has a son in 9th grade, Parker, who went to Seattle Academy of Arts and Sciences for middle school and Bertschi for elementary school.
