Stanley Hugh Campbell (August 26, 1930 – March 14, 2005) was an American collegiate and professional football player. He played professionally for the NFL's Detroit Lions and Philadelphia Eagles, and ended his football career with the American Football League's Oakland Raiders in 1962.
Personal
After Stan's football career, he opened his own carpet cleaning business. Stan and Sherry Campbell, his college sweetheart, had 4 sons. Eventually, Sherry and Stan got a divorce. Stan died in March 2005 of pancreatic cancer, which the doctors did not tell his family about. He was also a victim of Alzheimer's. He was inducted into the Rochelle Hall of Fame after he died.
