Marketing Dictionary: Standard Directory of Advertisers

Companion to the Standard Directory of Advertising Agencies and often called the Red Book, because of its red cover, the directory (which absorbed McKittrick's Directory and the Standard Advertising Register) offers a listing of over 25,000 companies in the United States and Canada that place national or regional advertisements. Published annually by the National Register Publishing Company, the book provides the name, address, and phone and fax numbers of each company as well as the number of employees, geographical area served, products advertised, key personnel, the advertising agency, and the annual advertising budget for each company.
