Career
Before teaming up with Tatiana Volosozhar, he competed with partners Elena Belusovskaya and Aliona Savchenko.
He won the 2000 World Junior Figure Skating Championships with Savchenko and went on to place 15th at the 2002 Winter Olympics with her. He retired from competitive skating in 2002, but came back to skate with Volosozhar. The two placed 12th at the 2006 Winter Olympics and finished in fourth place at the 2007 World Figure Skating Championships. Originally they were coached by Galina Kukhar.
In 2008 they changed to coach Ingo Steuer and began to train mainly in Chemnitz. They won their first Grand Prix medals, a silver and a bronze, and qualified for the 2008-09 Grand Prix Final where they placed fourth. As of December 2009[update], Volosozhar & Morozov were ranked sixth in the world[1].
