Stargate Infinity

Plot

A co-production of the DIC animation studios and the Japanese-based 4Kids Corporation, Stargate Infinity was a weekly cartoon spinoff of the live-action sci-fier Stargate SG-1. Taking place some 30 years after the original series (thereby avoiding any overlap in the official Stargate chronology), the cartoon version found four teenaged Stargate Academy trainees -- Stacey, R.J., Seattle, and the half-alien Ec'co -- taking orders from veteran SG-1 officer Gus Bonner (Stacy's father). After rescuing the amnesiac alien Draga from an ancient mummy, the trainees endeavored to escort the Draga back to her home planet, keeping one step ahead of bounty hunters who'd misidentified the trainees as traitors. Stressing pro-social and educational values throughout, Stargate Infinity joined the Fox Network's "Fox Box" Saturday-morning lineup on September 14, 2002. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
