Review

Stars of Country on the Columbia River label is a willy-nilly collection of hits from country music's yesteryear, mainly from the 1970s. Johnny Paycheck's hit version of David Allan Coe's "Take This Job and Shove It" is here as is Lynn Anderson's "Rose Garden" and Kenny Rogers' "Reuben James." It's a fine platter to listen to, but it's very short and serious collectors will have most of these tunes anyway. But the price is certainly right. ~ Thom Jurek, All Music Guide
