A steakhouse (or steak house) is a restaurant that specializes in beef steaks. These restaurants may also serve other types of meat, such as hamburgers, game, lamb, pork, chicken, and barbecue, as well as seafood (such as surf and turf) and pasta. The same type of restaurant is also known as a chophouse.
