Review

Steel Drum Party collects the tropical sounds of steel orchestras into a budget-priced CD. The London All Stars Steel Orchestra perform "Quando Quando" and "Lambada," while the Lambeth Community Youth Steel Band play "April in Portugal," "Poom Poom," "Tell Me Why" and "Some Like It Hot." Traditional songs like "Yellow Bird" and "Island In The Sun," both performed by the Red Stripe Ebony Steel Band, complete this collection, making it a fine introduction to the sunny sound of steel drums. ~ Heather Phares, All Music Guide
