Steve Truglia is a Stunt coordinator, Stunt performer and Action Unit Director in the UK. He is also an experienced Television Presenter. He is a registered Full member of the UK Equity Stunt Register as a Stunt Action Co-ordinator, and has been on the register since 1996. Truglia is an official stunt judge for the British Advertising Awards and is a life member of the World Stunt Academy. He is an experienced after dinner and motivational public speaker, and a television presenter with appearances on many TV shows and news channels in the UK.He is an extreme sports expert and has over 2400 parachute jumps to his credit.
Forces career
He served as a reservist in UK Special Forces with both the SAS and SBS, (in which he was qualified as a Class 3 Swimmer/Canoeist). He also spent 6 years with 289 Commando (RA). He passed the Parachute Regiment's 'P' Company in 1981 and the Royal Marines All Arms Commando Course in 1988. He is a qualified Army Physical Training Instructor, Special Forces Patrol Medic, Special Forces Communicator (Signals), Military Parachutist and Rock Climbing Instructor. In 1991 he was awarded the United States Marines Corps 'Gold' parachute wings at Camp Lejeune NC USA. He has completed the 126 miles Devizes to Westminster Canoe Race three times, (1984,85,88), winning the trophy for Fastest Reserve Forces Boat in 1988.[1]

- British Record for No Limits Freediving (Breath hold diving - 76 metres)
- In 2004 he was awarded a Guinness World Record for the Fastest Abseil; over 100 m in a time of 8.9secs. This was performed for the Guinness World Record 50th Anniversary TV show from the 400 ft London landmark Centre Point.
- In May 2009 broke the World record for the largest loop the loop car stunt, in a television special filmed for the UK's Channel 5 motoring show Fifth Gear which he presented.
- Planning a World Record High Altitude Parachute Jump from the Edge of Space, to beat Joe Kittinger's 1960 record. Steve's plan is to jump from 120,000 feet in a spacesuit.
