Steven Lisberger (born April 24, 1951) is an American film director and producer.
Born in New York City, raised in Philadelphia, he is best known for directing the 1982 movie Tron. His film Hot Pursuit is one of Ben Stiller's first speaking roles. His original animation studio Lisberger Studios began in Boston, Massachusetts, and was moved to Venice Beach, California in the mid-1970s.

Lisberger Studios, Inc. was an animation studio located in Boston, Massachusetts that produced animated films during the 70's and early 80's. Lisberger Studios was founded by Steven Lisberger, who would later write and direct the movie, TRON. Notable Lisberger Studio alumni include, Roger Allers (who directed The Lion King and Open Season as well as co-writing Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin and The Emperor's New Groove), John Norton (who designed the Recognizer vehicle for Tron, and worked on A Goofy Movie and The Brave Little Toaster) and Brad Bird (of Pixar fame).
Lisberger Studios first production was as the animation department in a Cosmic Cartoon in witch appered in the Fantastic Animation Festival in 1977.
