Biography

Not to be confused with the 1980s New York band Stone or the 1990s hip-hop producer Stone, this Stone is an earthy trio specializing in roots rock, blues-rock and pop-rock. The trio was formed in 1996, when singer/guitarist Brad Wilson got together with electric bassist Brian James and drummer J.J. Garcia. Stone's debut album, Somewhere in L.A., came out on Cherokee in 1998, and the CD's first single, "Teaser," was heard in director John Carpenter's horror film Vampires.
