Stuart Harris-Logan (often credited as 'Stuart A. Harris-Logan') is a celticist, folklorist and writer living in Scotland, UK[1]. He is the author of two books, Dancing With Ravens (2005) and Singing With Blackbirds (2006)[2]. The former is an introduction to Gaelic folklore and interpretive dance; while the latter is an anthropological work on the origins and continuity of religious practices, focusing primarily on Celtic and Gaelic traditions.
Harris-Logan was raised in a family originating from the Scottish Western isle of Barra and in a culture firmly connected to the Gaelic oral tradition. He delivers seminars and has given talks on subjects including traditional folk healing practices; Gaelic bird imitations and chants; and Alexander Carmichael's Carmina Gadelica. He is a native Gaelic speaker.[1]
