Suchensinn, name (almost certainly assumed) of a strolling poet and singer of Bavarian origin, who is recorded in 1390 and 1392 at the court of Duke Albrecht II of Bavaria. His 22 songs are either religious, celebrating the Virgin Mary, or profane, praising human, especially wedded, love. Suchensinn is represented in the Lieder der Klara Hätzlerin (see Hätzlerin, Clara).
