Plot
A train traveling from Lisbon to Paris serves as the setting for Chema de la Peña and Gabriel Velázquez's humanistic collection of six interconnecting stories detailing the life-changing events experienced by the unsuspecting passengers. On the surface, bigoted French taxi driver Samuel (Gerald Morales) seems a one-dimensional louse, but upon discovering that his wife, Lucia (Lidia Pinville), has been unfaithful, years of hardened emotions come crumbling to the ground. Meanwhile, a reunion between Lucia and childhood friend Tino (Tino Guimaraes) uncorks a guarded well of emotions that have been festering for nearly three decades. Though former Lisbon resident Angolin Mili (German A. Joao) hopes to find a better life in Paris and fellow traveler Rashid (Hicham Malayo) is eager to surprise his girlfriend with an unannounced visit from Spain, the pair's lofty dreams of happiness are quickly dashed upon receiving a cool reception in Europe. Finally, wheelchair-bound passenger Rober (Javier Delgado) and close friend Isa (Pilar Borrego) find that their noble attempt to make the train more wheelchair accessible results in more frustration than it may be worth when all is said and done. ~ Jason Buchanan, RoviCast
