Wikipedia: Sun Journal (New Bern)

The Sun Journal is the daily newspaper in New Bern, North Carolina. The newspaper began publishing in 1914. In 1974 it was acquired by Freedom Communications, Inc. The Sun Journal has a daily circulation of 15,500 and a Sunday circulation of 17,000. It was a broadsheet-format daily until June 1, 2009, when it and two sister dailies, the Kinston, N.C., Free-Press and the Jacksonville, N.C., Daily News converted to a berliner-style format. The current managing editor is Randy Foster.
