In the USA, the southern and western states, such as New Mexico, Arizona, and Florida, which are experiencing major in-migration from the states of the north-east (the snowbelt or frostbelt). Movement to the sunbelt states is based on their resources, their amenity, and, supposedly, cheap non-unionized labour. This movement has been stimulated by federal investment in aerospace and micro-computers.
