Juliette Binoche
Juliette Binoche
Spotlight: Happy 44th birthday to France's highest-paid actress, Juliette Binoche. Though she is currently starring with Steve Carell in Dan in Real Life, Binoche has been hesitant to "go Hollywood" in her career choices. She turned down a starring role in Jurassic Park in 1993 in favor of making Trois Couleurs: Bleu — a role that brought her a César Award for best actress. In 2000, after Binoche accepted the lead role in Chocolat, the film adapted from Joanne Harris' book, she turned up uninvited on the doorstep of Harris' home in Yorkshire. They spent the weekend together, discussing the book and the film. Binoche's performance as chocolatier Vianne Rocher brought her an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.
Quote: "I love all of it; I want a black one, a white one, a milky one. I want all of it. I'm very flexible about chocolate." Juliette Binoche
Question of the Day: How do you find a celebrity's fan mail address?
You can contact a celebrity through his agent or media source. For example, let's say you want to contact an author. You can check the website of the author's publisher for contact information. Most likely it will be the address of the publisher's publicity department. The publisher will then forward your letter to the author. Most often you will receive a form letter back from the author thanking you for writing. But now and then you will receive a personal letter or even a phone call! I actually had my favorite author call me on the phone a month ago. More
