Sunny Lane (born March 2, 1980 in Georgia, USA) is an American pornographic actress and nude model.

Biography

Her parents are Shelby and Mike, who worked in air-freight.[3] In her youth she was a competitive roller skater and ice skater,[4] and later worked as an instructor teaching[5] as well as yoga and pilates.[6]

She trained as an ice dancer under James Millns and was in preparations for the Olympic trials when she required bunion surgery.[7] Unable to skate due to the recovery period,[7] she started dancing nude in order to support herself financially.[8] She became an exotic dancer and won Déjà Vu Showgirl of the Year in 2004. Lane was invited to attend the AVN Awards ceremony in 2005, where at an after-show party hosted by Sean Michaels she encountered an agent from Playboy.[6] She started to act in adult movies in the same year.

Her career is supported and managed by her parents, with whom she lives in an apartment.[9] For a while she had a relationship with Dennis Hof, owner of the Nevada brothel Moonlite BunnyRanch.[4] She had 5 nominations at the AVN Awards 2007 (including a second nomination for Best Actress).

She appeared on the premier episode of the Fox reality series My Bare Lady which aired December 7, 2006[10] and on an episode of ABC Primetime: The Outsiders defending her career.[9] She also appeared with her parents on Fox News', Geraldo at Large on March 18, 2007, using the alias, "Sunny Lee". She also appeared on the television show Pants-Off Dance-Off on Fuse TV.

Lane announced in June 2007 that, in addition to working as a porn actress, she would also make appearances as a feature dancer on the strip club circuit.[11] She has also worked at the Nevada brothel, the Moonlite BunnyRanch, at various times in her career.[12][13][14][15]

Her performance in the 2007 film Goo Girls 26 earned Lane the 2008 AVN award for Best POV Sex Scene.[16] In 2008 she starred in Big Wet Asses 13 performing her first anal scene;[17] the scene won the AVN Award for best anal scene.[18]
