Review

King Records' Super Hits 1971 collects ten of that year's biggest pop and soul hits, including the Coasters' "Love Potion No. 9," Rufus Thomas' "Breakdown" and the Grass Roots' "Temptation Eyes." Unfortunately, all of these songs appear in re-recorded stereo versions, and even though these re-recordings aren't as cheap and tinny-sounding as they are on some collections, they're still inferior enough to make this collection difficult to recommend (especially considering the album's relatively short length). ~ Heather Phares, All Music Guide
