This comic is one of the Amalgam Comics metafictional one shots, where the characters are the mix of a DC comic and Marvel Comics character(s). Super Soldier is a mix of Superman and Captain America.
Ficitional History
Sometime before World War II, the United States government discovered a spacecraft that contained the corpse of a dead alien being. When World War II broke out, the government decided on an experiment that utilized the dead aliens DNA to create the ultimate superhuman soldier to fight the Axis forces.
Chosen for the project was a scrawny man named Clark Kent (Who in this world, has blond hair similar to the main Marvel Universes real Captain America, Steve Rogers) who was given the serum, which, due to the fact that there was only one dead alien found, can never be duplicated. With his new found powers, Clark became a symbol of freedom during World War II as the Super-Soldier: The Man Of War.
Powers and abilities
Super-Soldier has super strength, endurance, senses, speed and stamina; flight; heat-ray vision; and ice breathe like Superman. He also has a "danger sense".
