Susana Giménez (mostly referred to as Susana), née María Susana Giménez Aubert (born January 29, 1945 in Buenos Aires) is an Argentine actress and television host. Giménez started her career as a scantily-clad model in a soap commercial (where she sat on a rock, and uttered the word shock!) and went on to achieve fame as a vedette with Nelida Roca, also as a film actress, and TV hostess and producer.
Most of her filming career was in adult-oriented comedies, acting opposite Alberto Olmedo, Jorge Porcel, and fellow vedette Moria Casán.
In the 1970s, she dated middleweight boxing champion Carlos Monzón, in a widely publicized romance. Their liaison ended in 1978.
Giménez is the host of a highly-rated television variety show in Argentina, similar in format to those of Verónica Castro (in Mexico), Yolandita Monge (in Puerto Rico), Gisela Varcárcel (in Peru), and Raffaella Carrà (in Italy and Spain). Giménez entered into the Guinness Book of Records because all the letters and phone calls she received in her show. In 1997 she was awarded with the Golden Martín Fierro Award for her show.
In November 30, 2005 she finished the 18th season of the show.
