The Suzuki GSX1100F was introduced in October 1987 as a sports tourer with a 16 valve engine and a 5 speed gearbox, it formed part of the Suzuki GSX series range.

It had a full touring fairing and was particularly noted for its electrically powered height adjustable wind screen that was prone to failures[1]. The engine came originally from the GSX-R1100, but was retuned to provide more low-end and mid-range power. The bike had very good aerodynamics which meant that the 136 hp engine gave the bike a very high top speed, indeed the GSX1100F was among the fastest bikes in the world at the time.
