A small (20–32 lb), powerfully built working dog with a long body, long head, pointed erect ears and moderately short legs. (The breed standards call for a height to body length ratio of 2:5.) The coat is medium length, abundant and woolly in shades of gray, brown, red or yellow. The tail is naturally short or docked to a medium length. Called also Vasgotaspets, Swedish cattledog.
