Rooting back to their early years of jamming in their parents bedroom while growing up in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, Scott (guitar), Mike (bass) and Tom (vocals/ guitar) Braam played along to their Husker Du and Replacement records before being able to write their own songs. The Swingset Police resulted in 1993 with a number of drummers and two years of failed recording attempts to follow. However, with the accompaniment of drummer Peter Drefs, the brothers eventually succeeded in completing a full album in 1995 with a maxed out credit cards to show for it.
