Biography
Italian pop singer Syria decided to pursue a singing career after studying drama and being convinced by Claudio Mattone to participate in San Remo's Festival in 1995. A year later, Syria released her debut album called Non Ci Sto, followed by 1997's L'Angelo. That same year, the singer returned to San Remo with a song called "Sei Tu." While her popularity was growing in the local pop music scene, Syria recorded Station Wagon in 1998 and Come Una Goccia D'Acqua two years later. In February of 2001, the artist participated in San Remo's Festival once again, singing Biagio Antonacci's "Fantasticamente Amore." ~ Drago Bonacich, All Music Guide
