1871Kit, the Arkansas Traveller. One of the most popular western dramas of the time concerns a young Arkansas farmer whose wife and daughter are abducted. He encounters the man responsible years later, in a climactic bowie knife fight. De Walden was a London-born actor, playwright, and manager who also authored The Life and Death of Natty Bumpo.
