tactical air control group

1. (on land) a flexible administrative and tactical component of a tactical air organization. It provides aircraft control and warning functions ashore for offensive and defensive missions within the tactical air zone of responsibility.

2. (on ship) an administrative and tactical component of an amphibious force. It provides aircraft control and warning facilities afloat for offensive and defensive missions within the tactical air command area of responsibility.
