Tag- und Jahreshefte

Tag- und Jahreshefte, autobiographical notes covering briefly Goethe's life, and especially his literary activity, up to 1822. Written mainly between 1822 and 1825, they were first published in vols. 31 and 32 of the Ausgabe letzter Hand. They are sometimes referred to as Annalen, a term occasionally used for them by Goethe himself.
