Taj Burrow (born June 2, 1978 in Yallingup, Western Australia) is a well-known Australian surfer.

He began surfing at the age of seven in 1985 and discovered he was regular footed. He worked hard and began to win contests several years later, becoming recognized as a grommet. He went professional in 1998, and has since been recognized as one of the best surfers in the world^{[by whom?]}, even entering into the Australian Surfing Hall of Fame.

He has written a book (Taj Burrow's Book of Hot Surfing) and has produced his own surf videos, Sabotaj, Montaj and Taj Burrow's Fair Bits. He is recognised^{[by whom?]} to be the most advanced surfer who has not won a world title. In a recent interview in spring 2006, Taj said his top goal was not to win a world title but to further himself and the surfing world.^{[citation needed]}

In 2007, Burrow won the Rip Curl Pro at Bells Beach. He backed up this win with a stellar performance at the Billabong Pro in Jeffrey's Bay, South Africa where he claimed the title over 9 times ASP men's world champion, Kelly Slater, this win boosting him to second on the ASP Men's Tour ratings. In 2008-09 Globe released a shoe line named after Burrow.

In 2009 he won the Billabong Pipeline Masters at the Banzai Pipeline. In the final Burrow defeated Kelly Slater. In the same year he finished fourth in the ASP World Tour^[1].
