Wikipedia: Talkback Productions

Talkback Productions was formed in 1981 by Mel Smith and Griff Rhys Jones. The company is one of the UK’s leading production companies and part of the RTL Group, a major European broadcast and content company.

Talkback has a long track record of producing popular shows including Smack the Pony, Green Wing, Da Ali G Show, I'm Alan Partridge, QI, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, They Think It's All Over, House Doctor and The Apprentice.

Past credits include shows such as Alas Smith and Jones, Murder Most Horrid, The Day Today, The Eleven O'Clock Show, and Big Train.

In 2003, the company was sold to Thames Television's owner FremantleMedia for £62 million. It was later merged with Thames, and the combined entity was re-named Talkback Thames.
