Plot
Writer/director Pierre-Henri Salfati helms the exploratory one-hour documentary Talmud. Per its title, this film investigates the content, purpose, and history of the singular most sacred Judaic text outside of the Old Testament -- a millennia-old repository of wisdom, humor, ethical code, science, and history. Salfati also uses a great deal of screen time to chart the history of Jewish communities through the present day, concluding with New York. ~ Nathan Southern, All Movie Guide
