Rojo, Tamara (b Montreal, 17 May 1974). Spanish dancer. She studied at the Royal Conservatory, Madrid, and danced with the Ballet Comunidad de Madrid (1991-6). In 1997 she joined English National Ballet where she was rapidly promoted to principal. A dancer of fluid and expressive technique, she created the role of Juliet in Derek Deane's 1998 production of Romeo and Juliet. She joined the Royal Ballet in 2000.
