Tarpon Industries has swum its way into the steel storage rack business. Eugene Welding Company, a subsidiary, manufactures structural steel tubing along with steel storage rack systems such as cantilevered racks, push back racks, selective racks, archival storage systems, and order picking systems. Its steel storage rack systems are primarily used by the home center, public warehouse, and commercial and industrial distribution sectors. Steelbank, a subsidiary, distributes structural and mechanical steel tubing such as automotive storage racks, exercise equipment, and sprinkler systems. In 2008 Heartland Steel Products acquired the assets of Eugene Welding and Tarpon Industries.
