TDR/The Drama Review is a quarterly journal that focuses on performances in their social, economic, and political contexts. The journal covers dance, theater, performance art, visual art, popular entertainment, media, sports, rituals, and performance in politics and everyday life. TDR/The Drama Review was founded in 1955 by Richard Schechner and is published online and in hard copy by the MIT Press.
It is the most widely cited and influential anthropologically based academic journals dealing with performance.
