Wesla Whitfield performs some of her favorite songs on this superior outing, which includes five melodies with Sammy Cahn lyrics and a variety of high-quality vintage tunes. Joined by pianist/arranger Michael Greensill, the reeds of Noel Jewkes, bassist Michael Moore and drummer Joe La Barbera, Whitfield sounds quite happy and typically musical on such numbers as "It's a Most Unusual Day," "Almost Like Being in Love," "I Fall in Love Too Easily" and "All My Tomorrows."
