When Casey Cantrell's mother dies, her last wish is that her daughter gives a letter to Lord Richard Bredon who lives in the UK. Casey arrives in London but Lord Bredon denies ever having known her mother. While she is there she meets Lord Bredon's son Michael and they fall in love. When Lord Bredon discovers the new relationship, he gets really angry... assuming that Casey wants to blackmail his family somehow, so he begins to investigate her past. Things screw up dramatically when it appears that Casey might be Michael's illegitimate sister.
