Tech is the name of the lineage of English Bulldogs which have served as the mascot for Louisiana Tech University. Tech is owned by the Louisiana Tech Student Government Association. Tech XIX survived a heat stroke in 2007 and was retired in 2008; and is currently in the care of Tech Alumnus, and Lecturer of Mechanical Engineering Dr. Mark Barker. Tech XX was introduced in 2008 and is under the care of Tech Alumnus and Ruston veterinarian Dr. Patrick Sexton.
