Biography

As the producer of such films as The Gift and The Mothman Prophecies, Ted Tannenbaum was a key component in bringing numerous Screen Gems and Artisan titles to fruition. A familiar figure in law, investment, and finance, Tannenbaum was critical in boosting the revenues of HMO America subsidiary Chicago HMO before he founded Lakeshore Entertainment Group with partner Tom Rosenberg in the early '90s. Serving as executive producer for such early efforts as Box of Moonlight (1996) and The Real Blonde (1997), Tannenbaum continued to serve as a producer for numerous popular films until his death in 2002. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide
