Telesat takes the call for couch potatoes. The company, which primarily serves the direct-to-home TV broadcasting industry, provides satellite communications services for television and radio broadcasters and corporate networks. One of the largest fixed satellite service operators in the world, Telesat operates a network of 12 geostationary communications satellites. Among its top clients are Bell ExpressVu and Star Choice. Other customers include HBO, EchoStar, Lockheed Martin, and SIRIUS XM Radio. Loral Space & Communications owns nearly two-thirds of Telesat.
