TVA (Televisão Abril) is a Brazilian subscription television operator, working with MMDS analogic system, analogic cable and digital cable. TVA also provides @jato service (Cable modem and Wireless connection).
Grupo Abril's property, TVA appeared in 1991, and currently is available in the cities of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Niterói, Curitiba, Foz do Iguaçu, Florianópolis, and Balneário Camboriú.
Currently (Q1 2006) there are ongoing plans for WiMax rollouts in some major cities by the end of the year by TVA.
In July 19 Telefonica SA (subsidiary of Telefonica de España) won approval from Brazil's telecommunications regulator to buy pay-television assets from Grupo Abril's TVA.
