Tervo is a municipality of Finland.
It is located in the province of Eastern Finland and is part of the Northern Savonia region. The municipality has a population of 1,753 (30 June 2009)[2] and covers an area of 494.11 square kilometres (190.78 sq mi) of which 146.43 km2 (56.54 sq mi) is water.[1] The population density is 5.04 inhabitants per square kilometre (13.1 /sq mi).
Marco Hietala, the bass player for Nightwish is from Tervo.
The municipality is unilingually Finnish.
