Plot

Per its title, the documentary series Test Pilots discusses the lives, roles and accomplishments of the men and women in America who test-fly state-of-the-art aircraft, putting their safety on the line as they push the vehicles to undreamt-of extremes. The installment of this series "Flying High" witnesses Captain Scott Hughes undertaking an extremely difficult mission: he attempts to pilot a supersonic B-2 Spirit stealth bomber from Edwards Air Force Base in Edwards, California to the American Midwest and back - in less than 8 hours.
