Teufelliteratur or Teufelsliteratur, term applied to tracts written mostly in the second half of the 16th c. in Protestant regions, attacking vices and foibles as the handiwork of a particular devil. The most important collection of Teufelliteratur is the Theatrum Diabolorum, published in 1569 by Sigmund Feyerabend, and Andreas Musculus is the best-known author.
