Biography

The Articles are a Detroit-area ska/jazz fusion band who mix covers of jazz standards, as well as ska classics, with their originals. The group was founded by brothers Derek (trumpet) and Paul Phelps (guitar), with the remainder consisting of alto saxophonist Mike Rehfus, tenor saxophonist Sean Stillwell, bassist Jim Hohner, and drummer Dan Margulis. Their debut album, Flip F'Real, was released in 1997 by Moon Ska. ~ Steve Huey, All Music Guide
