The Bad Girls Club is an American reality television that premiered on the Oxygen Network in December 2006. The show was created by Jonathan Murray, and is produced by Bunim/Murray Productions, the same company that produces The Real World. The show's premise follows seven women with a number of mental, anger, personal and psychological problems - deemed "bad girls" - as they live together for four months. Cameras record their interpersonal relationships and their attempts to accomplish specific goals. Season four premiered December 1, 2009.[1]

Early Departures
- Ripsi: Following a night of binge drinking with Zara, Ripsi attacked Kerry until the other roommates stopped her. The following day, she claimed to have no memory of the events. The roommates held a house meeting and decided to send her home.
- Ty: During a group trip to the beach, tension arose as Ty and Aimee argued about who should carry their raft. Ty felt that Aimee had no courtesy, they continued to argue on the way back to the car with Leslie trying to settle them down. Ty then became enraged and spit in Aimee's face. Aimee attempted to spit back but Ty punched her first. The girls were able to break the fight up, and Ty was sent home for throwing the first punch.
- Leslie: She felt her roommates were doing nothing to create change in their lives and that it would be best for her to leave the show and continue college.
- Jodie: She was offended by Leslie's comment that she was a 'playboy wannabe'. She did some modeling gigs on Rodeo Drive for Fashion Week. She felt the house was toxic and made the choice to leave the house. She left without telling any of her roommates, except for Joanna.

Early Departures
- Lyric: She became fed up with her roommates' constant fighting and reached her breaking point after an all out house war between the girls. Fearing that her roommates' destructive behavior would have a negative influence on her, Lyric left the show on her own terms. She returned for the reunion special, only to be removed moments after getting involved in a heated arugement with Tanisha.
- Jennavecia: Upon joining, the roommates were assigned mandatory jobs. After their boss docked their pay, Jennavecia felt it was unfair and quit the job via email. House rule number two was that a girl who quit her job was asked to leave the Bad Girl house; as a result of her email, Jennavecia was asked to leave. Jennavecia also got into a physical altercation with Tanisha. The girls voted that both should stay but later Jennavecia was sent home
- Andrea: Cordelia's drinking and wild behavior took its toll on Andrea, as she took to her blog to vent her emotions. Andrea left her blog unattended, and Cordeila stumbled upon it. She told the others about what she read, and they found out that it wasn't the only blog she had written about them. Despite her attempted apologies, Andrea was unable to resolve it with her roommates as they all turned on her; she decided to leave the house.
Season Three
Season changes
For Season three, Oxygen announced that the show's format would be expanded from a half hour to one hour. This is the season where the most celebrity appearances occurred. Also, this is the first season where the girls actually went on a vacation to Cancun, Mexico.

Early Departures
- Kayla: After a disagreement with Amber M. over leaving a tip at a restaurant, the problem escalated into a physical altercation. While driving, Kayla and Amber continued to argue over who was right. Kayla became angry and hit Amber M's arm. The two then began to slap each other in the car. Amber M. asked to pull the car over so she and Kayla could fight. When they got out of the car, Kayla kicked Amber and the two began to fight until Amber B. interrupted and made the two stop. When they returned home, the girls told the other housemates what had happened. Kayla became upset because she felt that her roommates were on Amber M's side. Kayla then packed her bags and left the house, rather than being sent home for breaking the rules. Though she left the house in Episode 5, she returned in Episode 10 for the Bad Girls Club photo shoot then she returned for the reunion which lead to a heated argument between her and Ashley.
- Whitney: After an argument in Cancun, show rules were violated when Whitney attacked Amber M. in the street outside a club. Whitney and Amber both pulled each other's hair, but Whitney was ultimately sent home for kicking Amber M. in the head after she had fallen down. The police advised Whitney to leave the country, and the producers told her to leave the show. Whitney is asked to leave episode 12, but is shown returning from Mexico to the house to gather her belongings episode 13.
- Ailea: During the fight between Amber M. and Whitney, Ailea jumped in and kicked Amber M in her stomach several times and pulled her hair. Though she admitted to it, she was not punished with Whitney, which angered Amber M. and eventually Tiffany. Tiffany called a house meeting in which she confronted Ailea for her part in the brawl. Ailea was given the chance to apologize to Amber M., but Amber felt that her apology was insincere. Amber M then asked her to leave the show as well. Ailea is asked to leave episode 12, but is shown returning from Mexico to the house to gather her belongings episode 13.

The series is the most-watched Oxygen original series ever, averaging 595,000 P18-49, a 31% increase over season one. The show averaged 439,000 among women aged 18–49; 321,000 among women aged 18–34 and 791,000 total viewers P2+. "The Bad Girls Club" also achieved a network milestone, becoming the first Oxygen original series episode to break the one million-viewer mark.
The show's third season also set records for Oxygen, The premiere drew a 0.8 household rating, averaging 807,000 total viewers. Among viewers 18-49, “Girls” drew 568,000 viewers; 405,000 viewers were women 18-49 and 337,000 were women 18-34, according to Nielsen Media Research data. The show came in as the network's highest-rated season premiere ever, beating out "Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood."[2]
Spin-offs
Bad Girls Road Trip is a spin off from Oxygen's original show, The Bad Girls Club. It premiered June 12, 2007. It stars season one veterans, Zara Sprankle, Aimee Landi, and Leslie Ramsue, who tour their respective hometowns, searching for casting opportunities for Season 2 of The Bad Girls Club, as well as checking up on their former housemates. The show was cancelled after just one season due to low ratings.

Web games
The Oxygen Network launched a web based Flash game based on The Bad Girls Club called Bad Girls Milk Drop. The web game features the Bad Girls from Season 2 in caricature format dropping milk jugs on other Bad Girls as they pass by. The milk concept refers to the milk fight that happened in Season 2.[8] There is also a Bad Girls Club crossword puzzle based on the Season 2 cast.[9] There are now new web games based on the new season 3 of The Bad Girls Club including, Bad Girls Club Solitaire.[10] There is also a Bad Girls Flip & Match,[11] based on the cast of season 3.
Mobile games
The Oxygen Network announced launching a 3G mobile game based on The Bad Girls Club in partnership with Artificial Life, Inc.[12][13] The 3G game will feature 3D avatars based on the Bad Girls as well as photo-realistic locations based on the actual house. A series of 2G mobile games will also be launched in the coming months.
