Review

A British import from Hot Productions of WMOT's (an acronym for We Men of Talent) hottest productions. Mostly dancefloor jams but there are some melodic floaters, such as William DeVaughn's "Be Thankful for What You Got" and a remake of "Yes I'm Ready" by its originator, Barbara Mason. There's comedy relief from Mel Brooks with his hilarious "If I Was King" and saucy tales like "I Am Your Woman, She Is Your Wife" by Barbara Mason. Ex-DJ Frankie Smith's one hit "Double Dutch Bus" will refresh the ladies' skipping rope memories, and Brandi Wells', aka Terri Wells, "Watch Out" is good disco from a wailing diva. Numbers by Philly Cream, David Simmons, Sweet Thunder, Tom Grant, Slick, Fat Larry's Band, and Direct Current contribute to a well-rounded package that's worth grabbing. ~ Andrew Hamilton, All Music Guide
