The Brothers Chaps are Michael "Mike" Chapman and Matthew "Matt" Chapman, creators of the Homestar Runner series of animated cartoons. The brothers are originally from Indiana, but now live in Atlanta, Georgia.
Matt (born November 1, 1976) is the primary voice actor of the site. Matt graduated from Florida State University Film School. He is currently married to Jackie Chapman and has one child. He plays in a band frequently referenced in the "Strong Bad Emails", Limozeen (which were actually played by Y-O-U in addition to Matt in their live Atlanta performances).
Mike (born September 20, 1973), a University of Georgia alumnus, is responsible for half of the Adobe Flash animation, the technical aspects of the site, and provides intentionally poor imitations of his brother's voice work for the Powered by The Cheat cartoon series. He is married to Melissa "Missy" Palmer, who provides the voice of Marzipan in the Homestar Runner series and has one child.
Growing up in the 1980s, the two were creating comic books, filming Super 8 movies and eventually toying with a video camera.[1]
The brothers have directed several music videos, including "Heimdalsgate Like a Promethean Curse" by Of Montreal, "Experimental Film" and "Figure Eight" by They Might Be Giants, the former of which features the Homestar Runner characters, most notably Strong Sad, and "LA Lindsay" by Y-O-U, the band who also collaborated with the brothers on Strong Bad Sings.
