Ballet in one act with choreography and designs by Andrée Howard, music by Saint-Saëns. Premiered 26 Mar. 1943 by Ballet Rambert, at the Mercury Theatre, London, with Elisabeth Schooling, Gilmour, Harrold, and Holmes. A Victorian child meets the various animals in the composer's Grand Zoological Fantasy, although Le Cygne, the most famous of them, is not included.
