Plot

Australia's pioneer explorers and trailblazers were chronicled on this expensive ten-part docudrama series. Among the lives and careers covered herein were those of Thomas Livingstone Mitchell, Sir Charles Stuart, Philip Parker King, John Oxley, Ludwig Leichhart, William Lawson, Robert O'Hara Burke, and W.J. Wills. In addition to its other achievements, the series yielded a well-received soundtrack album, courtesy of composer Greg Sneddon.
